​10 Things Wedding Guests Really Care About 

While guests will be most delighted to be invited to a wedding in North Cyprus there are some etiquettes they will appreciate.

1: Timings and Direction:

When having a wedding abroad this is really vital as some guests may have never been to cyprus.

Make sure your invites and website is very clear with times, maps and directions. Info for transport and if you are arranging transportation the correct times and meeting points.

2: Menu options 

When sending out your invites include the menus and a section where guests can include if they have any allergies, intolerances and if they are a vegetarian. It is also vital for the wedding planner to have this info and which table they will be seated at so that the waiters can be informed. 

3: Running order

It always nice for the guests to know the order of the day and what will be up next. These can be included in your website, invites, or small cards given to the guests at the ceremony. Some couples are now opting for a wooden sign or blackboard at the entrance.

4: Childrens entertainment

Its always nice to keep the children entertained. If you have more than 5 children its quite nice to incorporate an area for childrens entertainment or a separate table for them all to be together. Childrens entertainment includes, a colouring and arts craft area, Jumbo games like jenga, connect 4. Even face painting goes down a treat. If you do not have many children then some crafts or colouring books always works a treat. These can be given as favours.

5: Thank yous

Your guests have travelled far for your special day it is always nice to include a big thank you in the speeches and to also give thank you notes with a small favour to show your appreciation. Favours such as fans and paper umbrellas are also appreciated in the heat of the day.

6: Fun and frolics over decorations

Its always nice to have the alcohol free flowing. 9 times out of 10 guests would prefer a larger budget over booze than decor

7: Fun speeches

Don't make the speeches too long and make them fun don't bore them or ramble on. You can include games in the speeches or have fun games on the tables for adults.

8: Plentiful Feasting

Although your guests will be having a full 3 course meal which will keep the guests satisfied, but after lots of drinking, the heat and dancing guests will never be so thankful for some snacks or finger food which can be arranged for the evening. 

9: Accommodation options

If your venue does not belong to a hotel it is a great idea to add a section to your website for various accommodation options for all budgets and contact details to arrange their accommodation and flight packages. Excursions and places to visit is also quite a good idea in this section 

10: An easy Exit

Guests will want to know what time the day will finish so they can arrange taxis or transportation for the end of the evening in advance. You can opt to arrange transportation like a coach which can have a few drop of points or some taxis to be there at the end of the evening. if not you can include taxi services to your website if your venue is far away and in the middle of no where.
